A condition that affects behavior is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). People who have ADHD may act impulsively, appear restless, or struggle with concentration. The signs of ADHD are typically identified at a young age and may worsen as a child's environment changes, such as when they start school. The majority of cases are identified in children between the ages of 3 and 7, though this can occasionally happen later in childhood. Sometimes adults who were not diagnosed with ADHD as children are given the diagnosis. Although many adults who were diagnosed with ADHD when they were young continue to have issues, the symptoms of the condition typically get better as people age. Anxiety and sleep disorders are two additional issues that people with ADHD may experience.
