SEIZURE TREATMENT

Seizures are brought on by the rapid and erratic electrical activity in the brain. As a result, there might be brief abnormal movements, sensations, or behaviors (like jerky, alternately stiffened arms and legs). There might also be a chance of losing consciousness or experiencing a different level of consciousness. Avoid attempting to stop the jerking or hold the person in place. The main goal should be to keep them from hurting themselves. Do not move the person unless they are in danger. Place something soft under their head, clear the area of any sharp or unstable objects, and stay by their side. Their tongues have no chance of being swallowed. Never put anything in their mouth, and make sure there is no liquid or vomit that could choke them. It's crucial to time the seizure and keeps an eye on their breathing. Speak to them calmly to reassure them up until they come to. Once the seizure has subsided, place them on their side in the recovery position. As soon as you notice if they have vomited or have food or liquid in their mouth, place them in the recovery position. If they fall asleep after the seizure, watch their breathing rather than rousing them. Don't let them eat or drink anything until the seizure is fully over. If they can, they ought to bring someone home.
